Usually yes. Eurostar Gare du Nord → St Pancras is 2h 15m with 30-minute check-in, from €45, and arrives in central London — no tube journey needed. Flying only wins if you need a suburban London airport or are connecting onwards long-haul via Heathrow.
Beauvais (BVA) — Ryanair to Stansted from £22 — but you pay in transfer: BVA is 85km north of Paris, shuttle bus to Porte Maillot is 1h 15m, €16. Factor in about 2 hours of extra ground time. CDG has the widest choice of airlines. Orly (ORY) is closest to central Paris and has easyJet/Vueling.
