The site is owned and operated by TheMediaFlow Ltd, a UK-based online publisher that has been running travel and comparison sites since the early 2000s. The technical build, partnership relationships and editorial standard the site is held to are overseen in-house. Day-to-day editorial work — advice articles, guides and route content — is led by Louisa Lowe, a Cheshire-based UK writer with over twenty years of experience. Author bylines on every advice article point back to her; nothing is published anonymously.
We are independent. We are not owned by an airline, an airport, a hotel chain or a global travel agency, and we have no shareholders pushing us to recommend any particular brand. The only people we answer to are the readers who use the site.
We do two things. We send your flight search to KAYAK, which compares airlines and booking sites for the route and dates you have in mind, and we publish guides — for every UK airport, every major UK airline and the popular routes flown out of Britain — covering the things you need to know before you book.
Flight search and fare data come from KAYAK. Each day we record the fares KAYAK shows on the routes we cover. The fare tables on our route, airport and airline pages are built from that record, and each figure is shown with the date it was seen: it is a fare that was on offer, not a live price. Live prices are on KAYAK. The fare finder tool uses search data from Travelpayouts. Tour and experience listings are powered by Viator. Adventure tours come via G Adventures. None of those partners influences what we write or which airline we suggest.
This site is free to use. We do not charge you to search, read or compare. To pay for hosting, development and the time it takes to keep guides up to date, we are paid by our partners. For flights, hotels and car hire, KAYAK pays us when a reader clicks through from this site to KAYAK or on to an airline or travel agent listed there: we are paid for the click, whether or not you book. For tours and activities we earn a commission when a reader books with Viator or G Adventures. The price you pay is the same whether you arrive through us or go direct.
We do also run a small amount of display advertising via Google AdSense on some pages, which contributes towards the cost of hosting and editorial. We block intrusive formats — no pop-ups, no autoplay video, no interstitials — and we do not allow advertisers to influence what we write. UK and EEA visitors can withdraw consent for personalised advertising at any time via the cookie controls in the footer; full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Every guide on the site is written by a human. We use spreadsheets, fare history, route schedules and our own travel experience to put guides together. We don't republish text scraped from other travel sites or open encyclopaedias — if you read it here, it was written here.
When a page shows a fare, it is a fare KAYAK displayed on the date printed beside it. When we say "Heathrow security usually clears in 15 minutes", that comes from our own observation. Prices change, schedules shift and airports renovate, so we re-check the popular guides at least twice a year. Each page shows when it was last updated.
If you spot something out of date or just plain wrong, please tell us — we'd much rather hear about it than have a reader land on stale advice.
We're rebuilding the site through 2026. The new version adds live fare alerts, a smarter cheapest-month calendar that uses real booking data rather than guesswork, and a much deeper set of airport landing pages — proper editorial guides covering routes, carriers, terminal layouts, and the local quirks every airport has.
