London Stansted — Ryanair from £25 on sale, £55 typical. Luton (Wizz Air) starts £39. Heathrow (BA) is £75+. Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham all start from £55 on Ryanair or Jet2.
Direct flights take 2h 10m airport-to-airport. From northern UK airports add 20–30 minutes. Prague Václav Havel Airport (PRG) is 17km west of the city — Airport Express bus to main station is 35 minutes, 100 Kč (£3.50).
UK passport holders can visit the Czech Republic (Schengen Area) visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. ETIAS authorisation will apply once live — check gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/czech-republic. Passport must be valid for 3 months beyond departure.
Czech Republic uses the Czech koruna (CZK, Kč) — NOT the euro. Roughly 28 Kč to £1. Cards are accepted at most restaurants and shops, but avoid airport currency exchanges (terrible rates) — use a fee-free debit card at local ATMs. Carry 500–1000 Kč cash for smaller pubs and trams.
November, January and February — fares from £25 on Ryanair sale, £55 typical. Avoid Christmas markets (late Nov–Dec 23), New Year, Easter and summer peaks. March and October are the best value for mild weather and empty Charles Bridge.
Prague is 40–50% cheaper than Paris or Amsterdam for food and beer. A meal with local beer is £10–15; a public transport day pass is £4. Old Town Square tourist restaurants charge 2× the price of equivalent Vinohrady or Žižkov spots — walk 10 minutes from Charles Bridge for real value.
