London Stansted (Ryanair) and Manchester (Jet2) compete at £125–£145 on shoulder dates. Most UK airports have Jet2 or TUI with 22kg bags included from £149–£175. Heathrow (BA) is premium £199+.
Direct flights take 4h 25m to Tenerife South (TFS) airport. Northern UK airports are 4h 40m–4h 55m. TFS is in the south, close to the big resorts (Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas, Costa Adeje). Tenerife North (TFN) is smaller and used mostly for inter-island flights.
UK passport holders can visit Spain (including the Canary Islands, Schengen Area) visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. ETIAS authorisation will apply once live — check gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain. Passport must be valid for 3 months beyond departure.
Tenerife South (TFS) handles 90%+ of UK flights — closest to Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas (15–30 min). Tenerife North (TFN) is near Santa Cruz and La Laguna, used mainly by Binter for inter-island and Iberia. If staying in the north (Puerto de la Cruz), TFN is closer but most tourists land at TFS.
